Thank you for your support
In my 30 years of public service I have met many quality Special District Board members and County Supervisors. I believe John Norton is a fine match for the needs of our community. John brings extensive knowledge and experience to the specialty of water management. John’s previous employment experience has shaped his policy of prudent financial responsibility and the importance of water quality. While running for election during the pandemic John has made himself available through Zoom, FaceTime and by phone and will continue to be available for all constituents after election. Join me in supporting John Norton for the NID Board.
I worked for John Norton for seven years, and I know he will make an excellent Board Member for NID District V. He works to protect water quality and ensure it is always available and affordable. An active member of Wildwood’s Lake Committee, he speaks truth to power and works to ensure that mistakes are identified, acknowledged and addressed. John answered the call to act as interim Director for NID and has continued to keep informed and involved with NID projects and issues. He regularly attends NID Board meetings, and recently influenced the decision to prioritize upgrades to Wildwood’s treatment plant. John Norton is the right choice for this challenging and important time.
I am endorsing John Norton in his bid for election to District 5 of the NID Board of Directors because the financial future of NID and its users is on a difficult trajectory and will require the skilled guidance and experience that he can provide. What I most admire about John is his integrity and balanced approach to environmental issues as well as an appreciation for the pragmatic decisions required for the day to day operation of a business like NID.
Simply stated, water is the single most important commodity we depend on, and it’s for that reason I’m endorsing John Norton for the NID Division 5 Director position. John’s 28 years of experience at the State Water Board will enable him to assume NID Director responsibilities with a solid technical and managerial background. I’ve worked together with John for the past 14 years on the Lake Wildwood Lake Committee and have been most impressed with John’s ability to find commonality in disagreements and foster effective compromise. John’s honesty and integrity are unquestionable to all who have worked with him. Please join me in voting for John Norton for NID District 5 Board Director.
I’m supporting John Norton for NID Director, District V. The two Candidate forums I listened to confirmed my support for John, especially as it relates to rate increases. As 30+ year residents of Rough & Ready, we are very tired of the continual recent rate increases. John is committed to mitigate these increases and look for areas of savings and intelligent spending, whereas his opponent did not seem concerned with this issue. Mr Norton is highly qualified, having served for 28 years on the California Water Resources Board, and he also served as an interim NID Director. Nancy Weber, former NID Director, and a woman I greatly respect, is also endorsing Norton. Please join my husband and me in voting for John Norton. Every vote counts!
